Nigerian comedian and actor, Oluwaseyitan Aletile better known as Seyi Law has thrown his support behind the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for re-election.
Seyi Law who canvassed for APC’s president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu took to his Instagram page to show his support for Sanwo-Olu ahead of the March 13 gubernatorial election.
While noting that he is eager to see SANWO-Olu re-elected, Seyi Law listed out the projects the governor will possibly work if he is voted for.
He wrote: “Your Excellency, I am eager to see you reelected so that you can complete some of these projects:
1. The Badagry Seaport, 2. The 4th Mainland Bridge, 3. The Lekki Airport, 4. The Lekki Regional Road, 5. Lagos Film School, 6. The Purple Line Rail, 7. Lagos Central Food and Logistics Hub. I believe in your dedication and service to the people. It is 4 + 4 for you. SANWOOLU LE KAN SI.”
Seyi Law drums support for Bola Tinubu
Jaratunes reported weeks back that Comedian, Seyi Law declared his full support for APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to Seyi Law, he would be voting for Tinubu ahead of PDP’s Atiku and Labour Party’s Peter Obi because Tinubu has brought a lot of development to Lagos State and it can’t be overlooked.
Seyi Law wrote, “We can pretend, refuse to accept it, and even deny it, but what Tinubu did to rebuild Lagos after the military era can never be overstated. You can use other metrics I don’t know to judge him, but to deny his works in Lagos as governor and the continuity is plain hatred.
If I was paid to campaign for ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU, let God judge me. I have always maintained my stance that I will never receive money to campaign for any politician and that I have always kept. This coming election, BAT is my candidate.”
Seyi Law tenders apology for supporting Tinubu
Following the victory of Bola Tinubu, Seyi Law apologized to all that he might have offended with his immense support for the president-elect.
The Rib cracker who is presently living in United Kingdom with his wife and kids wrote: “My fellow Nigerians, I am happy you’re as passionate as you are about your preferred candidates. That is the way politics should be. However, bitterness and hatred towards one another shouldn’t have a place between us.
You might not see things the way I see it. That doesn’t mean you are wrong, and I am right. It just means that we are different. If your candidates have won, I would have prayed and worked for his success and mine.
I apologise to those offended by my support, and I seriously condemn all the violence across the country. I have mixed feelings not for my candidate’s winning, but your genuine angers. However, I pray Nigeria and Nigerians’ lives get better. From the bottom of my heart, I say THANK YOU.”
