Toke Makinwa reports Twitter user who claimed ‘house was seized by AMCON’ to police

Controversial Nigerian OAP Toke Makinwa has reported the Twitter user who claimed that her house was seized by AMCON, to the police.

A few days ago Toke Makinwa was in the news following a story that her Banana Island Mansion has been seized by AMCON over nonpayment of a loan by an alleged sponsor who gifted her the house.

According to the reports that circulated at the time, the house is owned by Lagos-based oil and gas businessman, Dr Festus Fadeyi, whose indebtedness to AMCON is over N240 billion.

Taking to her Twitter page not quite long, Toke Makinwa revealed that she has reported the Twitter user who started the rumor to the police.

She also claimed that the Twitter user has now deleted his account, though investigations is currently ongoing by the police. She wrote;

“The account that started the vicious rumor on here deleted the tweets but I have reported to the police and an investigation is going on as I type, things are going to get very interesting, perhaps you gather all your coins cos I will buy that house in banana island.”

It can be recalled that a few days back, the OAP, through her lawyers, sued news outlet Nigerian Telegraph for publishing the news before it went viral.

Her lawyers in their letter to the news company said Toke Makinwa could afford such a luxurious mansion and she doesn’t have to depend on a man to have that as reported by the site.

They further stated that the OAP does not have any house in Banana Island, and the story was fabricated to stain her brand.

The publisher of the news outlet was however requested to tender an unreserved apology to the OAP on their platform and circulate the same across social media, otherwise legal actions will be taken against them.
